We were pleasantly surprised by the convenient location of the hostel, just steps away from Plaza Mayor and within walking distance to Puerta del Sol. The nearby convenience store was a plus. We also enjoyed the free walking tour organized by Mad-Ride, which gave us a great way to explore the city. The rooftop bar had a fantastic vibe and we had the chance to make new friends there. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the standard breakfast offered a decent variety. The hostel even arranged a shuttle bus to the airport for a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a great experience in Madrid.

The shower could be a bit more spacious, although it does have a rainfall showerhead.

I stayed at The Hat for a week and it was perfect for my needs. The location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw from Plaza Mayor. Despite being centrally located, the street it's on is surprisingly quiet. The staff were extremely helpful and managed the busy reception well. The wifi was reliable and there were plenty of spaces to work. The rooftop bar offered reasonably priced drinks and the kitchen downstairs was a great place to socialize. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable with luxurious pillows. The breakfast was excellent and the shared rooms were spacious with ample locker space. Free sangria every night was a nice touch.
Would recommend this hotel.
